Morro Rock on a quiet weekend morning when these colorful boats were anchored in the tranquil bay
Middle Cathedral Rock, Yosemite
This picture was captured on the move during a tour of the valley floor. The light peeking through the trees to the upper left corner really added to the shot
Muir Woods, CA
This lovely scene was captured on an overcast day in Muir Woods. The green moss on the trees blends with the red bark to make a magnificent picture.
Valles Caldera, New Mexico
This is a place I wrote about before I knew it existed. Once I learned of it I had to go see it first hand. It is an ancient massive caldera ten miles in diameter. My first full length novel features just such a place.
Monterey Bay Otter
This little fellow was lounging in the water when my daughter and I were kayaking in Monterey Bay.
Moraine Lake
If there is a prettier place in the world than Moraine Lake in Alberta, Canada, I'm not sure where to find it. The turquoise lake is surrounded by a deep green pinewood forest and ten snow-capped granite peaks. Breathtaking.
Athabasca River Fun
On a trip to the Canadian Rockies we had a chance to raft the frigid Athabasca River. That's me in the second row right, my daughters in the front and my wife is hidden from the picture behind me.
17 Mile Drive, Monterey, CA
This lovely colorful bit of coastline along the 17 Mile Drive in Monterey makes it easy to see why people travel from all over the world to see it.
Florida Everglades
I found this alligator sunning in the verdant Everglades during a fan boat tour with the family.
Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada
This was the first glacier fed lake I ever laid eyes on. The milky hue is created by fine ground rock flour suspended in the water. This view is looking out from the stately Chateau Lake Louise.
Portofino, Italy
This gorgeous seaside town was the last and prettiest stop of a three village tour (Rapallo and Santa Margherita being the others) of the west coast of Italy.
Venice, Italy
Venice is perhaps the most magical city in all the world. The narrow alleyways opening into countless piazzas, gondolas with lovers meandering through the canals, and the blend of Byzantine, Gothic and Moorish architecture make this a city one of a kind.
Eiffel Tower, Paris, France
Is there a more iconic monument than the Eiffel Tower? I was fortunate to see it first hand with my family during a weeklong stay in Paris
Moraine Lake
If there is a prettier place in the world than Moraine Lake in Alberta, Canada, I'm not sure where to find it. The turquoise lake is surrounded by a deep green pinewood forest and ten snow-capped granite peaks. Breathtaking.
